How to Force STOP/Kill a service – Windows server
To Force stop or kill a Windows server service stuck in stopping status, run Command Line as an Admin. Type:
taskkill /f /pid [PID]
Where PID is the process ID. You can find the process ID of that service in Task Manager under Processes. In the View menu of the Task manager you can choose to show the Process ID.
Or you can find the PID from Command Line. Go to Command line and type:
sc queryex ServiceName
You can find the ServiceName by going to Services and double-click on the service that you want to stop/kill.
