VPN Services
Virtual Private Networks are changing the way employees and remote sites access corporate data while away from the office.
Single PCs, using a secured tunnel, over an existing Internet connection of any type, a client can run locally installed VPN client to establish a secure connection to a corporate VPN server and gain access to the local corporate LAN.
Remote offices can use similar technologies to link Firewalls, VPN Servers, or Routers together to create a virtual leased line using the Internet. This capability is inherent in VPN3000 and PIX. An IOS upgrade and VPN module is required for this functionality from a router.
We recommend and implement these technologies using Cisco products. For medium to large offices, PIX or VPN3000 is recommended, with the Cisco VPN client. For smaller offices, a VPN module with the SafeNet SoftRemote VPN Client is recommended.
